Michael and Susan’s home from March 24 to April 9, 2015. In the early spring of 2015, having grown very tired of the chill winter, we put our names on the house sitters site again. Anywhere south and warmer we thought. Michael and Susan were in touch soon after about a 2 week stay at […]

Kergrist, Brittany, France 2014
Ann’s home, November 4 to Nov 28, 2014. We were delighted when Ann chose us to look after her 8 kitties while she was at a cat show in England. This was in November 2014. Ann breeds Birman cats. They are beauties, all soft and fluffy and very furry. Prior to our arrival, a litter […]
Albuquerque, New Mexico 2014
Cynthia’s home from March 28 to April 12, 2014. The winter of 2014 was an extremely harsh one in Canada. With our time at Suzy’s drawing to an end, we decided we didn’t want to rush home. We put our names back on the house sitters site to see if we could find something in […]
Ajijic, Mexico 2014
Suzy’s house from February 14 to 28, 2014. Ajijic has a very inter-twined ex-pat community. One of the reason’s Suzy chose us to look after her home and her two beloved bedlington terriers was because we used Collette as a reference and of course Suzy knew Collette and could speak to her directly about […]
2 Canadians Murdered in Mexico
Those were the headlines in all the Toronto newspapers the day before we were crossing the border from Laredo Texas for our 2 day drive to Ajijic Mexico – the town where the two were murdered. We were hit immediately by a double edged sword. Between living here for a year and a half and […]
Florida, Florida and More Florida
We are in Venice Beach tonight at a hotel that is not on the beach. We will explore the town and beaches a wee bit in the morning before heading overland to Daytona to spend an evening with Greg’s cousins Carol and John. We left our most adorable waterfront, family run hotel in Clearwater early this smorning […]
Heading towards Tampa
We took a day off from traveling yesterday and hung out here in Tallahassee. The downtown is kind of small. No shopping to speak of. Tons of government buildings and guys in suits walking around. I guess they were government guys but, I kept mistaking them for Jehovah’s Witnesses. I expected them to reach into […]
Winter Trip – Toronto to Atlanta
We’re off on another adventure trip of sorts. The plan is to meander through the US for a couple of weeks and then make our way back down to Ajijic Mexico for 5 weeks. At the end of that time, if the weather is still cold and snowy at home, we’ll head up to Arizona […]
First Draft – 2014 Winter Road Trip
Lynne and I couldn’t decide really where we wanted to go this winter. We had pretty much decided to head south and spend a month or two exploring all over Florida. A House Sitters tip about a place in Ajijic Mexico landed us a house and a couple of dogs to look after for a […]
The Lake Deck
We can’t really call it a dock. It sits four feet out over the water. We’ll add a dock to it one of these days! In the mean time, it’s a wonderful spot to sit and watch the boats on the water or the sun going down in the summer time.
